Ukraine International Travel Market 2014 expo hosted Honorary Consulate of Malta as one of the exhibitors. Malta's tourist product was presented for the first time ever. The Consulate was granted a complimentary expo booth as a winner of WildCard programme for prospective exhibitors. The first day of UITM 2014 expo was marked by stark interest from national tourism agents and operators. Over the course of a day, our stand (pictured as of September 30th) visited approximately 500 visitors.

Starting from the 1st of September, 2014, Ukrainian citizens who intend to submit documents for a Schengen short-term visa have to apply at the nearest visa centre of the Embassy of Spain in Ukraine. Visa centers are locate in Kyiv, Donets'k, Kharkiv, Odesa and Lviv. For further information please refer to the "Applying for visas" section of the present website.

Ambassador Pierre Clive Agius was one of the esteemed guests that attended Inauguration of Petro Poroshenko, newly elected President of Ukraine. Over forty ambassadors and other high-ranking officials took the opportunity to greet peacefully and democratically-elected President after bloody events on Maidan Square in Kyiv.Ambassador discussed with the President current issues in connection with Ukraine's EU integration and certain points regarding relations between the two countries.
